Christine’s flair for anything with an artistic-spin was evident from childhood. These come-by-it-naturally skills were formally honed at a private college in New York, where she studied fine art. Leaving New York with a BA in Fine Arts – a concentration in photography and design, with a minor in business, and an elevated level of worldliness, Christine went on to city-and-continent hopscotch. She blazed past North American borders, to cross the Atlantic for Europe, where she explored endless iterations of art, culture and photography.
Her work-life experience tour eventually brought her full circle, back to her Toronto beginnings. She anchored a spot at an award-winning design firm as a contributor to numerous globally-recognized creative projects for a solid decade, before leaping into the world of entrepreneurship.
In 2007, Christine started her own graphic design business, Love the Card, with a strong focus on cards and invitations. Through this proprietary venture, Christine has built a solid reputation as a go-to designer with everyone from brides to industry-leading businesses. Testament to the calibre of work is the prestigious recognition for Love the Card as Stationery Designer of the Year (2008 Canadian Wedding Industry Awards).
Love The Design Launches
Now onto the latest chapter, with the launch of Love the Design in Summer 2009,
Christine reignites her passion for photography, and marries it with her artistic and designer genius, to create custom works of art that fuse image with imagination. The result: attention-grabbing pieces that provide eye-popping magic to enhance any space, whether home, office or a third space between.
Polished and pristine execution, with just the right dose of edge, are key attributes that continually bring repeat and new clients to Christine. Not surprisingly, this artist-designer is an always-on fountain of creativity, undoubtedly fueled by her innate love of adventure and the breadth of her worldly experiences.
It’s no wonder then that everyone who sees Christine’s work is compelled to comment that they simply, “Love The Design”.
